Our philosophy on helping children we believe is unique and very biblical.
In Africa, there are two main categories of children, those in families and those without families.Because of the culture, there are in reality not "orphans" as you traditionally think of them. This is because there is always a family member willing to raise a child who may have been left as a result of a parent or parents dying of diseases like malaria or AIDS.
If the family is impoverished, it is our desire to keep the children within the established family unit together. It is common for African children to be "farmed off" to relatives who may have more finances to raise the child than to keep them in the family unit.It is our desire to help children so they can be nurtured in their own families. Therefore, we evaluate the specific needs of the children as they are brought to one of our local orphanages. We do NOT discriminate against children
